Masking Update

March 3, 2022

Dear Camden’s Charter School Network,

On February 7, Governor Murphy announced that the executive order requiring all adults and children inside of New Jersey school buildings to wear a mask at all times will end on March 7, 2022. We are aware this means the wearing of masks is now at the discretion of each school district.  Our school board members have been meeting and thoughtfully considering the pros and cons of masking vs unmasking for the health and safety of our schools.

For now, Camden’s Charter School Network will follow suit with Camden City Schools, which has opted to continue wearing masks until further notice. This means that all staff, students and visitors are expected to wear masks while inside of our buildings. Our school board will continue carefully reviewing the COVID-19 data in Camden County as they determine the best masking policy for our schools. Staff, parents and guardians will be notified with updates once a final decision is made.

The health and safety of our community, and continuing in-person learning is of the utmost importance to all of us at Camden’s Charter School Network. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this pandemic together.

Sincerely,

Dr. Joseph Conway

Superintendent
